Hi, I'chiliad starting to learn Castilian, and when it comes to weather, this actually confuses me. I don't sympathize the difference between "está nevando" (it'south snowing) and "nieva" (its snowing) and also "está lloviendo" (information technology'due south raining) and "llueve" (it's raining). Could someone please help explain the departure?

"Está nevando" : It's occurring correct now.. in this moment.
"Nieva" : The weather present the possibility to snow in any moment. Information technology's not necessary to be snowing in this moment. It snow and it tin can be today, tomorrow, in this moment, etc.
The apply in each example is as explained, but somebody can apply "nieva" if "está nevando".

It seems that this is similar in Portuguese. To talk nigh the present with these verbs, you normally employ the progressive (está nevando).
